The Palais DarSoukkar – “the sugar palace” in Arabic – is a mythical place steeped in history. It was built in the 16th century on the site of a former sugar mill, of which only a few remains remain today. In 2004, the palace was renovated to host prestigious private events such as the Marrakech International Film Festival, Marrakech Du Rire and Dior evenings, before finally opening its doors to the general public in 2016, offering an unmissable dinner and show.Located just 10 minutes from Djema el Fnaa square, the Palais is a beacon for the Ochre city. The establishment is divided into two areas, the indoor part includes a restaurant, a lounge area and a covered terrace. Then there’s the outdoor area with its 1,200 m² terrace. Our capacity is 1,800 for a seated dinner, and 2,500 for cocktail receptions, including the terrace. It’s an award-winning venue for congresses, galas & ceremonies for companies and individuals, and our design office will define your turnkey needs or collaborate with your organization.
